Ducted heating in kitchen and dining

Servicing & Maintenance

Refrigeration and heat pump systems need regular maintenance to work at high efficiency and increases the life span of your unit.

Things that are included but not limited to such things as:

  • Check for correct amount of refrigerant.

  • Test for refrigerant leaks using a leak detector.

  • Check for and seal duct leakage in central systems.

  • Measure airflow through the evaporator/condensor coil.

  • Verify the correct electric control sequence.

  • Inspect electric terminals, clean and tighten connections, and apply a non-conductive coating if necessary.
Oil motors and check belts for tightness and wear.

  • Check the accuracy of the thermostat.

  • Check crank case heaters for operation.

  • Ensure all valves are opening, closing and regulating the correct pressures.

  • Clean or replace dirty filters.

  • Check for any algae build up in drain pan or drain line that could create smell or blockages

Chemical Cleaning

A chemical wash is needed when ordinary washing of the parts of the air conditioner fails to solve some problems. These may include, but not limited to, a water leak problem, a slow heating/cooling of air, or a foul smell that emanates from the unit.

If you use the wrong cleaning technique, you might be introducing more dirt to the system rather than removing them, or worse, you may be harming yourself by vacuuming moulds into your home.
